Daley is a talented violinist and composer whose musical journey began at the age of six under the mentorship of his grandfather, a highly respected and distinguished violin teacher in their town. This early exposure to the violin sparked a deep passion that led to a series of notable achievements, including securing second place in the National Examination Competition of the China Conservatory of Music, performing as a soloist in multiple recitals, and serving as a member and concertmaster of symphony orchestras across the US, China, and Thailand.
Daley pursued his Bachelor of Music degree in violin performance under Carla Trynchuk, a distinguished professor who studied at the prestigious Juilliard School under legendary educator Dorothy DeLay. Under her guidance, Daley refined his technique and artistic expression. He gained valuable experience under the baton of Herbert Blomstedt during rehearsals, deepening his understanding of orchestral music and enriching his compositional abilities.
In addition to his classical training, Daley has expanded his expertise into the realm of screen scoring. While pursuing his Master of Music degree in Screen Scoring at NYU, he developed a versatile skill set that bridges the worlds of traditional orchestral composition and modern music production. His distinctive style combines atmospheric electronic soundscapes with grand orchestral arrangements, making him an up-and-coming composer in both concert and multimedia settings.
Beyond his work as a performer and composer, Daley has also shared his knowledge as a graduate student instructor at NYU, teaching and mentoring the next generation of composers. Balancing his roles as a violinist and a composer, Daley brings a unique perspective to his work, seamlessly blending the intricacies of classical music with the innovative demands of contemporary scoring. His contributions to both the concert stage and the screen scoring industry mark him as a dynamic and versatile artist.
